What it is

TitanCell 40 is a lithium-ion battery pack rated at 40,000 mAh (40 Ah), housed in a 190 × 85 × 65 mm case and weighing 2.4 kg. It is built for cases where the deciding factor is not peak power but the ratio of energy to weight and volume. Typical loads are equipment with an electric powertrain: heavy FPV drones, reconnaissance fixed-wings and multirotors, unmanned ground vehicles and mobile power stations. On an airborne platform, 2.4 kg instead of the usual 4–5 kg converts directly into flight time and range.

How it works

The pack is assembled from semi-solid-state lithium-ion cells arranged in a sealed enclosure with power terminals brought out. Series configurations run from 6S to 14S, so the pack matches the actual voltage of your powertrain within a 15 V to 25.2 V window. Maximum discharge current is 200 A and maximum charge current is 40 A. A BMS handles cell balancing, temperature protection and voltage limits. There is no memory effect, so the pack can be topped up from any state of charge. Energy efficiency is above 96 %, self-discharge no more than 3 %, and the permitted storage period from the last charge is 1.5 years.

Key advantages

• Semi-solid-state cells contain less than 10 % liquid electrolyte, which makes thermal runaway markedly less likely than in conventional Li-ion or Li-Po packs. This is the core design difference of the TitanCell line.
• 2.4 kg for 40 Ah in a 190 × 85 × 65 mm case — the pack fits platforms where a larger housing simply will not go.
• Discharge current up to 200 A, leaving headroom for start-up and manoeuvring loads without voltage sag.
• Charge current up to 40 A, so a full recharge fits within an hour with a suitable charger.
• Service life up to 2,500 cycles (verified by the control methods of our technical specification).
• Discharge from −20 °C to 60 °C; operation from −15 °C to 55 °C.
• Enclosure protection from IP20 to IP67 depending on the build — portable, fixed or sealed.

Configurations and custom orders

TitanCell 40 is not a single fixed box with one connector. We select to order: series configuration from 6S to 14S; case type — metal, plastic or a combined aluminium heat-sink design; build — portable, fixed or sealed; ingress protection anywhere between IP20 and IP67; indication by LED, LCD display or none; power cables in AWG6, AWG8, AWG10 or custom; power connectors Anderson, XT90, AS150 or bolted; balance connectors JST or custom. We build to order and adapt the pack to the customer's mounting bay and wiring, not the other way round.
