What it is
TitanCell 80 is a standalone DC power source rated at 80,000 mAh (80 Ah) with a maximum discharge current of 400 A. It is the larger model in the line, and its purpose is not weight saving but loads that make ordinary packs sag: electric drives, winches, compressors, welding and test equipment, fixed and mobile power nodes, unmanned ground platforms and mobile power stations. If your load has a high inrush or continuous working current, that single figure is the reason to take the 80 rather than the 40.
How it works
The product is an assembly of semi-solid-state lithium-ion cells joined electrically into one power source inside a sealed case with power terminals brought out. During charging, energy accumulates in the cells; during discharge it is delivered to the connected load. The operating window is explicit: 15 V to 25.2 V, charge current up to 80 A, discharge current up to 400 A. Series configurations from 6S to 14S are built to match the equipment. A BMS handles balancing, temperature protection and voltage limits. There is no memory effect. Energy efficiency is above 96 %, self-discharge no more than 3 %, and the permitted storage period from the last charge is 1.5 years.
Key advantages
- Discharge current up to 400 A — twice the headroom of the TitanCell 40. Inrush peaks do not pull the voltage down and the load keeps running in its normal mode.
- Semi-solid-state cells contain less than 10 % liquid electrolyte, so thermal runaway is markedly less likely than with conventional Li-ion or Li-Po. For a pack installed permanently next to equipment and people, that is the deciding argument.
- 80 Ah in a 190 × 130 × 85 mm case at 5 kg — a compact energy node that does not need a cabinet of its own.
- Charge current up to 80 A, so the pack returns to service quickly between shifts or cycles.
- Service life up to 2,500 cycles (verified by the control methods of our technical specification), energy efficiency above 96 %.
- Discharge from −20 °C to 60 °C; operation from −15 °C to 55 °C.
- Ingress protection from IP20 to IP67 — from indoor racks to open-air sites.
Configurations and custom orders
The base configuration is 80 Ah, lithium-ion chemistry, semi-solid-state cells. Everything else is built to the task: series configuration 6S–14S; a metal, plastic or combined aluminium heat-sink case; portable, fixed or sealed build; ingress protection between IP20 and IP67; LED, LCD or no indication; power cables in AWG6, AWG8, AWG10 or custom; power connectors Anderson, XT90, AS150 or bolted — at these currents a bolted joint is often the most practical choice. Cables, charging equipment, adapters and mounting hardware are supplied per the order specification. We adapt the pack to your mounting bay and wiring.
